In 1981 the wdr channel broadcasted a music show named 'formel eins'
and i saw there for the first time a group that sounded different
to the 'neue deutsche welle' music that was famous that time. The
groups name was Grandmaster Flash & the furious five and they
kicked the song 'new york new york'.
I sat like petrified in front of the tv set and from that time on
i started to dig for any kind of record that those six heros
released. Two years later i was getting into breakdance.
I started to practise with different people and i became part
of a crew called 'street beat' which disolved some time later.
After that i started together with a friend of mine a crew
named 'bionic force'. We rocked some parties and danced together
with the "fresh family" crew from ratingen on different jams.
After that came graffiti, the art tagging cool pictures on walls.
Back then I sprayed under the synonym 'ken' which I extended
with 'swift', a breakdancer of the rock steady crew, some time
later. I sprayed a while but I got interrested in the 'djing section'
after I saw the movie 'wild style'.
